Job Summary:
The Compensation and Benefits Coordinator is responsible for managing the organization's compensation and benefits programs and assisting in processing the semi-monthly payroll. This includes managing employee compensation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, internal audits, and administering benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. They may also be involved in analyzing compensation data to ensure competitiveness and communicating with employees about their compensation and benefits packages.
Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities include: Payroll: Assist in processing semi-monthly payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions. Montior HR system to ensure all employees’ timesheets have been submitted and are ready for payroll. Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records for all employees, including tax forms, timesheets, and payroll reports. Assist in resolving payroll-related issues promptly and accurately, including answering employee questions, addressing discrepancies, and troubleshooting errors. Stay up-to-date with changes to federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll-related information, including employee salary information, tax records, and personal data. Maintain and update payroll systems, including payroll software, databases, and records.
Benefits: Be a go-to person for employees with benefits-related questions and problems. Conduct periodic analysis of benefits trends to ensure EMA’s benefits package is competitive. Acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers Coordinates new enrollments for all benefits including insurance, 401k, and PTO. Update and regular maintenance of company medical, dental, and supplemental insurance plans. Communicate with and assist Roseman Wealth Advisors with regular maintenance of company 401(k) plan. Responsible for maintaining all employee Paid Time Off hours. Attend meetings related to insurance benefits, 401k benefits, and compensation related discussions. Complete internal audits ensuring benefit enrollment information is up to date and accurate. Maintain HSA contributions and enrollments.
Compensation: Conduct twice yearly compensation market analysis for all EMA locations to ensure our compensation packages are competitive. Periodically meet with managers to review salary ranges and levels for employees. Updates records when employee’s salary or hourly rate changes. Maintain job descriptions along with salary ranges for all positions within the company. Complete internal audits ensuring compensation information is up to date and accurate.
Miscellaneous: Manage employee records related to: benefits enrollment, changes in benefits, payroll deductions State and federal taxes and other relevant information Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and benefits administration. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Other duties as assigned.
