Our team provided full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design services the new St. Jude Catholic Church campus in Benton, Louisiana. Built on a previously undeveloped 20-acre site, the campus includes a 750-seat Sanctuary, 40-seat Daily Mass Chapel, Family Life Center, commercial kitchen, administrative offices, classrooms, and multiple support spaces. The complexity and scale of the new construction required a robust and integrated MEP design approach to support the wide range of spiritual, educational, and community functions housed within the facility.
The HVAC systems were designed for comfort and efficiency across diverse space types—from the expansive Gothic-arched Sanctuary to the more intimate chapel and classrooms. Zoned systems with advanced controls provide flexibility for varied occupancy patterns while maintaining acoustic sensitivity in worship spaces. The electrical systems included custom lighting solutions to emphasize the architectural and symbolic features of the Sanctuary, as well as comprehensive infrastructure to support A/V, security, and IT systems throughout the campus. Exterior electrical design supported site lighting, water features, the bell tower, and drop-off plaza areas. Plumbing systems were designed to serve a commercial kitchen, nursery, multiple restrooms, and high-traffic public areas with durable, water-efficient solutions. Throughout the project, our team worked closely with the design and parish leadership to deliver MEP systems that enhance both the sacred atmosphere and daily operations of this new church campus.
