CHRISTUS Good Shepherd - Cath Lab

Christus Good Shepherd

Project Overview

Our healthcare team recently completed MEP design services for the Cath Lab renovations at CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Hospital. The project involved repurposing two existing GI rooms into catheterization labs with cutting-edge imaging equipment and advanced medical gas systems. Renovating spaces like this poses a challenge because of the significant increase in HVAC and electrical loads. While analyzing the existing systems, we found that the electrical system had enough capacity for the new space, but the HVAC system needed to be modified. We installed a new chiller and implemented energy-efficient HVAC solutions to maintain precise temperature and humidity control. By renovating this space, we helped CHRISTUS enhance its cardiac care capabilities, allowing for more complex interventions and improved patient outcomes.
